The existing search experience on Veepee left users feeling disconnected and frustrated. Non-intuitive navigation increased the likelihood of users abandoning the site in favor of competitors. The goal was clear: create a global, meaningful search experience that exceeds user expectations by transforming the search bar into a dynamic conversational tool.

1. Reduce traffic loss by addressing user frustration with non-intuitive search experiences.
2. Foster a conversational interaction through the search bar, turning every keystroke into a seamless dialogue with the system.

As a Product Designer, I took charge of:
- Organizing a workshop to redefine page objectives and identify friction points.
- Mapping user journeys and uncovering opportunities for improvement.
- Designing and iterating on wireframes and prototypes.
- Ensuring alignment between user needs and business goals.

During the workshop, we collaborated with key stakeholders, including marketing leads, product owners, and data analysts. The session focused on:
- Redefining the objectives for each search page.
- Pinpointing friction points in the current user journey.
- Exploring opportunities to create a smoother and more engaging experience.

Key Findings:
1. Users need inspiration during their search.
2. Help users continue their navigation seamlessly.
3. Ensure users find the most relevant offers.
4. Deliver personalized content based on user preferences.
5. Reduce the number of clicks required to achieve their goals.

The solution?

To address these pain points, we proposed a threefold strategy:

1. Inspire Users:
- Introduce curated collections and trending searches to spark ideas.
- Showcase seasonal and thematic offers directly on the results page.

2. Seamless Navigation:
- Implement smart suggestions that guide users to related products, categories or brands.

3. Personalized Results:
- Use data-driven insights to tailor search results based on user history and preferences.
- Highlight offers that align with individual interests and past interactions.

After creating wireframe to make sure the new flow and blocks are well build. It's time to create high-fidelity mockups that brought the concept to life:

Result

The overall conversion rate of the landing search page is improved by almost 14%. We observed a positive and significant increment on both category of offers : flash sales (+17.60%) and brandsplace (+8.85%).
This project underscored the power of combining user research with innovative design to create experiences that delight and engage. The revamped search experience not only met but exceeded user expectations, reinforcing Veepee’s position as a leader in e-commerce.
